The study focuses on the Green Team of a MLB team, specifically on the factors that facilitate or hinder the sustainability efforts of the Green Team. Interviews with the members of the Green Team were conducted and results indicated that the efforts directly affected the fans and the employees' commitment to sustainability within the organization. However, more effort needs to be placed to address areas such as the game or event, which would require the involvement of all stakeholders. Sport organizations need to focus on education, promotion, gaining support at the executive level as well as balancing the financial and social cost of sustainability initiatives.
